MATYK is the Lithuanian word for “see it.”
I’m Audra Grigaliunas, a director and editor, and I created MATYK in 2016.
I’ve always believed stories are how we learn, heal, and make sense of the world. My family survived that way — Lithuanian refugees building a new life from nothing.
That belief followed me through every job, every company I’ve helped lift, and every community we’ve worked alongside, and it has brought me back to filmmaking. I kept coming back to the same truth.
When you truly see a story - told with honesty and soul - it stays with you. And sometimes changes what you do next.
